New fish and plants

At the beginning of April, I bought new fish in the Sklorex store: two white Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare), three Serpae tetras (Hyphessobrycon eques) and two Siamese algae eaters (Crossocheilus siamensis). I left them in the quarantine aquarium for a week and then I moved them. For some reason one of the Siamese algae eaters disappeared and later the other one too. I found one of them dead, caught by the filter.

A plant that I was trying to buy for some time and was not available, appeared on www.rostlinna-akvaria.cz: Cryptocoryne sp. red mi oya. I ordered the Eleocharis parvulus at the same time. Regarding the new light, Eleocharis parvulus could now grow better. At least the Staurogyne repens has been positively affected by the new light.

At the end of April, I decided to buy other fish. The NO3 value in the aquarium is low, so I bought three Ram cichlids (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi), five Bronze corydoras (Corydoras aeneus) and again two Siamese algae eaters (Crossocheilus siamensis). I left the fish in the quarantine. I found one of the corydoras dead yet in the quarantine.

In the meantime, one of the angelfishes – smokey leopard I bought among the first ones in the year 2016, started struggling with fin rot. I moved it to the quarantine not to be nipped by other fish. I found it dead a few days later. The reason is unknown to me. Nevertheless, I preventively applied eSha 2000 in the main aquarium.
